Grace is here!

Gracie is finally here! She is so beautiful. She was born on August 25th at 2:30pm. After all the worry from doctors that she was going to be a small baby, she surprised us all by weighing 7lbs 15oz! It must have been from all that extra cooking time! I was scheduled for an indcution on the 25th but when I woke up to go to the hospital I found I was already starting labor on my own. It was such an answer to prayer because I really didn't want to be induced. The labor was exteremly painful but it's amazing how you forget the feeling! I also lucked out because she came so fast, the doctor barely got there in time. Levi and I are both just so in awe of her. We never want to put her down and sometimes fight over who gets to hold her. I usually win because I have the food. Levi is already asking me when I'll start pumping so he can feed her...he's a little jealous. She such a easy baby... so far. I know that could easily change but we rarely hear her cry. She is very content and alert. It is such an amazing feeling to know she is mine. I never knew it was possible to love this much. It's amazing how God lets us experience this type of unconditional love, the way he loves us.

She has these cute accidental smiles, they're hard to get on camera though.

The final stretch

Warning.... pretty boring post..... So I have not had Grace yet. Its only 4 days from my due date but I am going stir-crazy. I have this wierd idea that Grace is just never going to come but be stuck inside of me and I'll be huge and uncomfortable for forever! Has anyone else ever thought like that at the end, like it's never going to happen? Everytime I tell Levi that he just looks at me like I'm crazy. Levi still holds to the idea that Grace is going to come early but with 4 days left to go I think he is going to be very wrong. I have to give major props to my husband. He has been amazing this past month. He is doing all the cooking and most of the cleaning right now and doesn't even complain infact he usually sings while he does it :) I hope Gracie can sing like Levi. Well, hopefully the next post will be with lots of pictures of little Gracie. Say a prayer for me that labor starts soon!

Baby Julia and Gracie's Room!

The most exciting news is that we are now an aunt and uncle! Baby Julia was born on July 15th and she is so beautiful! I am so in love and now even more excited for my own little girl to get here. They are so lucky they are going to be so close in age and have so much fun with eachother!

Proud Daddy!

She looks like a Stockton!

Also, Gracie's room is pretty much finished! Check out the crib...Levi made that all by himself.
He did such a good job. To be honest, I was a little nervous when he said he wanted to build the crib. I wasn't quite sure what it would turn out like or if it woud be sturdy enough but it is beautiful and so special. Now I know he can build amazing things so I'm trying to figure out what else around the house I can have him build...poor Levi. We only have 4 more weeks or less until Gracie is here! We can't wait!

Wedding pics

Well I don't have much to update. I'm still pregnant...no baby yet. One more month though! Since my blog is pretty boring right now I thought I'd add some pictures from our wedding- a year ago. Once Gracie gets here our blog will get a little more interesting...hopefully!

Waiting and waiting...

Okay I finally broke down and started a blog. I was inspired by Megan, Aly and Jenna! Also because now that I'm not working and stranded on my couch or bed until this baby comes out (I haven't totally been following the rules) I don't have much else to do. I never realized how anxious I would be to get Gracie here! I started having frequent contractions about two weeks ago. I went to the hospital and got two of those horrible shots that make you feel like you're on speed but it stopped the contractions. I recently had to go back to the hospital but the contractions were very small so no crazy shot. Now I have to rest and stay off my feet for another month and a half! AHHHHHHH! I am going crazy. For all of you that know me well, I'm a little high strung and this bed rest thing is making me insane. Especially when I look around the house and see how much of a mess it is. Luckily Levi is the most amazing husband. He has completely taken care of me throughout this whole thing- almost spoiling me. He's doing all the cleaning, cooking and spending a lot of time working on the crib that he is building. I couldn't have asked for a more supportive and loving husband.
